This is self-destruction disguised as accusation. The narrator calls themselves a sinner for loving someone, but every line blames the ex for everything wrong in their life. They are trapped between wanting to curse the person and being unable to let them go, so they turn loving into a crime they committed against themselves.
저 하늘에 한숨을 뱉지 / 빨간 노을이 눈에 들어왔나 봐 (I sigh into the sky / I guess the red sunset got in my eyes)
The narrator pretends the sunset made them cry, not heartbreak. It is easier to blame weather than admit you are still wrecked.
다른 사람을 만나 불행해 주겠니 / 기도해 줄 테니 (Will you be unhappy with someone else? / I'll pray for it)
Praying for an ex's misery is not healing. It is proof you are still completely obsessed. The calm delivery makes the cruelty land harder.
그 누군가 지금 네 곁에 / 나 대신 웃고 있는 사람이 (Someone next to you now / laughing in my place)
The narrator imagines the replacement and immediately measures themselves against them. You only compare yourself to someone who does not exist if you have already decided you lost.
너의 그 이름이, 너의 그 입술이 / 날 가둔, 날 묶은 감옥과도 같지 (Your name, your lips / are like a prison that traps me, binds me)
Memory becomes architecture. The ex is not physically there, but thinking about them functions as walls. The narrator built this prison and refuses to leave it.
멍청한 바보라 날 욕해 / 너를 사랑한 죄인 (Call me a stupid fool / A sinner for loving you)
Calling love a sin means the narrator thinks they deserved punishment for feeling it. They are not asking for forgiveness. They are performing guilt as the only role left to play.
The song never resolves whether the ex actually did anything wrong or if the narrator just cannot handle being left. That ambiguity is the point. By the end, being a sinner is not about punishment. It is about having an identity when everything else is gone.
