Time 'fell through' his hands like he wasn't holding it, just watching it drop. Then he says he still looks fine, which means the dissolution he's describing is invisible to everyone else. He's the only one who knows how stuck he is, and he's choosing not to tell anyone except through songs like this.
Who have we become? / Are we counting sheep until we dissolve?
The question 'who have we become?' assumes two people changed together, but the verses make it clear only one person moved. Counting sheep is what you do to fall asleep, which means he's asking if they're just waiting passively for this to end. The answer is yes, but only he is. She already left.
The saddest part is he knows exactly what's wrong. He just won't do anything about it except ask someone else to stop moving so he doesn't have to feel left behind. The song ends with 'Who? Who?' like he's still asking the question, but he already knows the answer. He's the one dissolving. She's not.
